Is it impossible or possible?

Hope you are enjoying your summer so far and getting ready for a great Fourth of July. I can't help but to think about the importance of the word "Independence" around this time of year. It's such a powerful and strong word.

INDEPENDENCE

The US declared independence from Great Britain in 1776, which was quite the declaration. This is what is so great about it, it was declared! It’s what gives Independence its power and strength. It wasn’t a sort of independence or a half hearted plea for independence. It was a Declaration!!!

If you are looking to change something in your own life you need to do the same. Maybe you are seeking the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Maybe you say things to yourself like I want to lose weight, I want more money and I want to start a business or I want to stop fighting with my significant other? Then this is your time to declare your independence from what is holding you back from the outcome that you are seeking.

Is it impossible or possible?

Well I know this; there are no maybes, sort-of or half hearted pleas that get the results you are looking for. You need to declare to yourself and to the powers that be with clear conviction what it is you want. Declare it with all your heart. Declare to take the action it requires to move towards it. We all make so many excuses and deny ourselves from so many different things. The trip we say we can’t afford, the raise we know we deserve, the creative outlets we want to explore, the job we wish we had, the body we hope to get, the home we wish to buy, the spirituality we want to find and the list goes on. I sure know that I’ve made my share of excuse and have denied myself before. Instead of making up excuses for why something is impossible, let’s start declaring that it is possible.

I declare to live to my fullest by doing things that bring me joy and being of service to the world.

I declare to love openly by spending more time with family and friends. Showing my girlfriend more of my heart and loving her the best that I can.

I declare to be the best authentic version of myself that I can be by being honest, truthful and always expanding my knowledge.

What do you declare?
