As you know I love being part and involved with amazing organizations that help in the fight against and finding a cure for cancer. I've met a lot of people over the years and worked alongside so many beautiful people to raise awareness, funds and make a difference in the lives of those who have been touched by cancer. I recently was emailed by a friend at the T.J. Martell Foundation about this truly amazing documentary and I wanted to share it with you. The documentary is called "Man in the Camo Jacket", set for release July 4th. It's about Mike Peters, best known as the frontman of 80’s Welsh band The Alarm, he is also a two-time cancer survivor. Mike battled Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1995 and then was diagnosed in 2006 with Chronic Lymphocyte Leukemia (CLL).
Despite his ongoing battle with this devastating illness, and a tumultuous on-and-off again relationship with fellow band members, Mike has never been one to surrender to circumstance. Throughout the entire saga of his life, he has continued to make music, inspire his fans and co-found the world’s largest music centered cancer charity, The Love Hope Strength Foundation.
As the main songwriter and voice of The Alarm, Mike has created some of the most anthemic songs of the last 30 years with “68 Guns,” “The Stand,” “Rain in the Summertime,” “Marching On” and “Blaze of Glory.”
I am excited to be invited to the World Preview Screening and after party for Man in the Camo Jacket. Mike will be there for a Q&A and then a performance. I'm looking forward to meeting an amazing human being, doing his part to make an enormous difference by saving lives, one concert at a time.

The story of iconic Welsh rock musician Mike Peters (of The Alarm), his rise to fame, battle with cancer, and inspiring climb back as he enlists some of the world’s top musicians to help save the lives of cancer patients around the globe. Ultimately though, the life he saves may be his own.
Man in the Camo Jacket is a feature-length documentary film. The film will hit the road with an accompanying bone marrow drive at each screening, leading to thousands of new donors and the potential for thousands of lives saved.
Filmed over the course of eight years, the film documents Mike’s journeys to the summits of the world’s tallest mountains and to the depths of his regular chemotherapy treatments and features one of a kind performances from legendary rock musicians.
